PRODUCT REBRAND / CREATIVE DIRECTION

Froddo is a brand of children’s shoes from Croatia and a big exporter in the EU and the US market. They specialize in high-quality leather children's shoes, with a focus on Children's Foot Health. The company is a leading Croatian footwear manufacturer with a rich history dating back to 1946. 2014 they they were repositioning on the domestic and international market and started the process of rebranding under the guidance of “Brandoctor” agency.
CONTEXT
Implement a new visual identity into products and develop a creative approach for the new Froddo, by leading and monitoring design of the collection A/W 2015-16.

THE OBJECTIVE
Froddo collection consists of very reversible models of children's footwear in different product ranges, 500 pieces of shoes by collection.
The challenge was to change the way the footwear looked. The new brand's look had to become more clean and contemporary. The whole collection is stripped of superfluous ornaments and becomes playfully elegant.
A new visual identity is implemented into a different product lines, by careful detailing and adding signature design elements the standards for the „New Froddo“ were set up.

The brand implementation had to set up a standard for a new design approach and follow the hypothesis of the brand strategy
“Kids are not uniformed beings; happy kids are treated as individuals and have the freedom to be what they want to be.”
With over 500 models in the collection, we consider every child's uniqueness and celebrate differences.
We don't want to cast children in the same mold.
We want every child to recognize that a shoe, sliper, boot, sandal or sneaker is made just for them.

The rebranded Froddo was a huge success among kids, parents, and international buyers. Since its launch in early 2015, the brand’s sales have grown significantly.
The number of international buyers grew by 60% and 74% more footwear was sold in the foreign markets for fall/winter 2015/16 compared to the same period the year before.
